Imagine if someone projected an entire decade’s worth of sci-fi space epics on the same screen, at the same time. Imagine you were in the audience for that event. Now imagine, for some insane reason, you decided to pre-game for the experience by eating an entire bag full of…
davidehrlichAug 21, 2020During the chase scene in which Valerian is simultaneously in two dimensions at once, there's a single shot in which he crashes through five floors, each one with a totally different aesthetic I gotta applaud that
Patrick WillemsJul 23, 2017This was like if Baz Luhrmann directed Star Wars: Episode I as a Disney Channel original movie with a surprising amount of misogyny

fellas is it gay for a boy to flirt with a girl when the boy has the soul of a woman inside him
doinkdedoinkJul 27, 2017it's brilliant sci fi in it's world building and overall concepts, but by the time rihanna does her shape shifting male fantasy strip show i had already realized that it's unfortunately a corny, uninteresting and incoherent mess. what a shame

I wanted to watch the movie Ethan Hawke thought he was in.
Jenny NulfJun 21, 2017A wonderful, dizzying, gleefully silly utopian vision from a director who just cannot abide a boring action sequence. A movie I am doomed to watch a hundred more times and discover something new on every viewing. And yes, a film I am sure will be deeply polarizing, with…
David SimsJul 27, 2017Should have been Laureline and the City of a Thousand Planets.

i find valerians voice to be very attractive but i’m hungry now so im gonna order some grubhub
Huge flop in theaters but honestly one of the most visually appealing sci fis in years. Acting was no worse than avatar. @garrett @matt @wil
Despite the plot holes and wonky character development, I'm always ready for a Luc Besson adventure. Nothing beats 'The Fifth Element' when it comes to sci-fi fantasy and you see so much of it in this. Decent casting, a great soundtrack, amazing visuals and top-notch world-building. You can see the…

It’s the perfect combination of sci-fi, action, adventure, humor and romance; (personally) I can’t find a reason to give this movie a “bad rating”, absolutely loved every single minute of it and would recommend to everyone
I liked it, Dane Dehann is fine as hell and the acting was okay lol PLUS RIHANNAAAAAA GAHDAYUMMMM

It was visually very pleasing and I quickly fell in love with the Pearl people but I had questions which didn’t have any answers. Would the answers make the movie better? Doubtfully. Love story wasn’t necessary imo cause it was such processed cheese… I could easily quote what they were going to…
A visually stunning sci-fi film packed with imagination.🔥 Creative and ambitious.🙌🏽 The best parts are the creatures, cities, markets & worlds The chemistry between the leads is fun but not deep. And uneven storytelling keeps it from reaching it’s full potentential 7.5/10👍🏽
The movie itself, the storyline, the visuals, and all the supporting actors were great but why these two were chosen as the leads is beyond me. How anyone could believe these two were respected military is laughable and their lack of chemistry (and personalities) ruined the movie

It was like if the Fifth Element and Avatar had a baby.
MGMichael GonzalezIt was a good story, just wish it had been recast. No chemistry between the two protagonists
GEGreg EfurdPulp sci-fi spectacle! Great adaptation of the old comic book.

It was good but not great.
JSJoseph SatiahIt was a really good movie. Not a blockbuster worst seeing. It was just a good watch
LCLuis CandialesNot the fun ride i was expecting but still visually stunning and original.

the romance subplot feels a little forced, but it is a great story with a well built world.
JSjamal safahit doesnt help when the movie screen had a rip...
KTKevin Trippelthe casting in this movie is bizarre. The main characters look like they are 16 years old and way too young to be doing the things they do, but even more odd is the fact that the characters are either 16-20 or 50+
