Synopsis
The appealingly rough and strange UglyDolls line of plush toys inspires a new animated musical film. Weird reigns supreme and beauty is more than skin deep in the town of Uglyville. Moxy (Kelly Clarkson) loves her carefree life there, but wonders what’s beyond the borders of her familiar home.
So Moxy pulls together a group of intrepid friends and sets off to the unexplored world outside Uglyville. They find Perfection, an ultra-conventional town, where dolls are drilled in all things right and proper before being sent off to become a child’s favorite possession. For the first time, Moxy and friends have to confront what it feels like to be different.

For a disposable piece of children’s entertainment that features Pit Bull as the voice of a one-eyed, party-mad puppy named Ugly Dog, there’s something refreshingly straightforward about how “UglyDolls” goes about its agenda. At no point in its mercifully brief running time…

Broke: Uglydolls is another superficial animated film aimed at children Woke: Uglydolls is Schindler's List but animated and for children
MoloteraAug 6, 2019Am I the only one who felt insulted after watching this film? Like, I can't be and I'm coming out and saying that this was even worse than 'The Emoji Movie'. There I said it.

Go for the kids. But Expect to hate it. i actively tried to take a nap. Blake Shelton had the acting prowess of a watermelon. if you love your kids and hate yourself, go see this movie.
MEMonique EHorrible message for kids, poorly executed, painful to sit though.

Too much singing, but that's what keeps kids entertained. Lol Good movie for children in the age range of learning about self-image. Positive view on being different and accepting others who are different. Everyone brings something good to the group/family/etc. My 6 year…

In the Insta age, this paean to body positivity and living your own truth is more than welcome, but you just wish UglyDolls’ message could be more charmingly argued, adroitly assembled and just plain funny.

The script is garbage, the voice acting is wooden and the songs are as infectious — and deadly — as the Mister Softee jingle.

For anyone over 5, it’s best as mild, inoffensive background noise, but no more thrilling or satisfying than that. It turns out to be nothing more than a merchandising opportunity after all.
