Nothing like having beloved characters die whilst Stan Bush is screaming YOU GOT THE TOUCH in the background.
Sam ThompsonJun 20, 2014Unquestionably the primary tonal and structural influence on Bay's films, this is a whiplash inducing, excessively violent, metal-scored, hallucinatory narrative nightmare. If only those live action epics had this lightning fast 85-minute runtime. Even the editing rhythms…

George CarmiSep 28, 2021A ninety minute sugar rush, almost nonstop brutal robot action fueled by the power of 80s metal. If I watched this as a kid I’d probably think it was the greatest thing ever. When are movies gonna have kickass theme songs again?

couldn’t understand the story AT ALL but the music goes hard and the animation on the giant orson welles robot is raw af!!! RIP peter cullen you will be missed
EvasiveAug 22, 2022We all know who’s got the touch and it’s obviously not Michael Bay.
ZaMovieDudeFeb 18, 2022Orson Welles voicing a giant, villainous transformer while Steve Bush scream sings "You Got the Touch" with Anime Metal vibes galore is just proof that the 80's are the best decade. This is easily the best version of Transformers we'll ever get. Both my kids gave this a…

Why did we stray so far from the perfection that this is?
The definition of 80s it’s about 70% soundtrack music video and like 30% movie Plot 5/10 Writing 5/10 Characters 8/10 Soundtrack would be 7 if it wasn’t played every second of the movie 4/10 Fun factor 12/20 Overall it’s a fun watch Transformers one is better 8.5/10 🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐️
Gorgeous to look at - those initial shots of Laserbeak in all its movie glory have stayed with me - and the overall story works, but the film almost brutally offs the majority of the main cast from Seasons 1 and 2. Watch this well prepared for that, then ditch the series.

This was one of my favorite movies growing up. I remember having my mom rent this on VHS almost every weekend. I was in awe when you saw transformers die. Also, the soundtrack was pretty “rad”. If you want a decent transformers movie, this is probably the best one.
still one of the best transformers moives to this day. my only problem was how fast they killed my boy Prime. He died like 20 minutes in. He still took out like 50 decepticons on his way out, though showing why he's the leader.

A great all around 80s animated movie and really tells who the transformers are from gen 1
Want to see a child of the 80’s cry? Watch this movie with them. Such a cheesy classic.
