The ProjectionistNov 30, 2020Lakeith Stanfield sexy. Issa Rae sexier. That’s it. That’s the review.
vickyFeb 13, 2020"She wasn't just your mother." I felt totally immersed in this experience that spans decades. The film follows Christina Eames (Chanté Adams), a photographer in the 1980s who wants more from life than her man can give her. Trapped in Louisiana, she longs to go to New…

No abusive husbands, no violent trauma, no histrionics, no Tyler Perry running around screaming in a terrible lacefront. Just two people falling in love, and it’s refreshing. The Photograph is a low stakes romantic drama that while not a masterpiece, is a small delight from…

Allison M. 🌱Feb 11, 2020Oh to be Issa Rae and have Lakeith Stanfield look at you like THAT w h e w I went to the nyc premiere for this and it was SO sweet but also painfully romantic to the point where I was like “wow, I’m so lonely” but in a good way. Both love stories were emotional and oh so…

graceFeb 22, 2020⚠️53% 2020 list - Click HERE This is one of those wonderfully acted films, with solid intentions, that just didn’t interest me as much as it wanted to. Lakeith Stanfield and Issa Rae have excellent chemistry here. Their relationship is (obviously) the crucial element that…

This movie had a moving soundtrack, great onscreen chemistry. This movie was full of talented people you’ll recognize that work really well together to bring these black love stories to life.
AGAIN. ANOTHER COULD HAVE BEEN GOOD MOVIE THAT RUINED HALF WAY THROUGH. I was upset with this one because, it was great contrast, a great soundtrack, but then it’s like the plot just…plummeted half way through? It felt rushed towards the end compared to the beginning.

Shallow characters, poor acting, a 15 minute story stretched out to almost 2 hours. Absolutely painful.
TRTaisha RiveraHaven’t been to a movie theater in a long time. I saw the previews and thought it would be a great love movie. Very disappointed that I was fighting to stay awake. We left the movie before it got to the middle. What a waste of money!Should of been a Netflix or Hulu movie.
SJShatasha Jordan🖤🖤🖤🖤 black love . Love it see love to promote it

Saddened the leading lady had to settle for a guy ghosting her with poor communication skills and she compromised everything to “get the guy” but he didn’t actually do anything to EARN her. Stellar cast which was my single motive for going to see this in theaters on opening…
NMNashika McKoysuch a dope movie
ETErik TurnerNo chemistry between the two main characters; that was the biggest flaw.
