the transition between idealism to capitalism, between loyalty to family and loyalty to business. the most tragic film of a generation.
Logan KennyMay 23, 2022love that deniro sometimes does a brando impression and sometimes is simply robert deniro
KarstenDec 15, 2020don’t get me wrong it’s no shrek 2 but it sure is one of cinema’s finest sequels

Michael did nothing wrong. He was dealing with trauma.
Will MenakerApr 2, 2022Choosing to believe that Michael Corleone told his son that Fredo got eaten by a big fish
brendan o'hareAug 12, 2019a lot of people will say this is a masterpiece, and you know what, i won't argue with them. but really this is a lesson from francis ford coppola about how young al pacino and young robert de niro are hot

Holy b*lls this mob shi is FR! Mike going beast mode in this one, fudging amazing movie. You already know I’m going to Italy and joining the mafia (literally).
Arguably better than the first but more of the same. Both films displayed beautiful cinematography and have some of the most iconic performances cinema has to offer. My expectations just weren’t met. Look, these movies are good. But they are outrageously overrated. Goodfellas >

I legitimately thought I had watched this movie before, but as I started it, I realized I haven’t. I thought it was a great movie, and perhaps if I saw this 20 years ago I would have loved it.

Through a compelling dual character study, the sequel explores the intertwined yet distinct paths of its protagonists. The result is a breathtaking display of filmmaking leaving us in awe of its expansive scope, attention to detail, and sheer perfection.

Saw it 1974 and countless times on TV but seeing it again on the big screen reminded me of how epic it was. Great storytelling & acting. The back and forth of present day and Vito's history make this a terrific saga. Glad I went.

I thought I was in heaven 20 years ago when I saw both 1 and two together as a double feature. this by far was the most enthralling showing I had ever seen! I for the first time finally saw the gun put to freddo to end this tragic opera. I was totally blown away
DADavid Avellaneda5 stars and rightfully so. This is the epitome of what film should be. Is it perfect? No, no film is, but damn does it come close.
GAGeoffrey AndersonSo glad I finally had to chance to see Godfather 2 on the big screen. Given the current state of American cinema, these TCM events are the only reason I attend theatrical showings anymore.

If you get a chance to see The Godfather Part II on a big screen, BY ALL MEANS GO!! Some movies cannot be done justice on DVD or via streaming on a tv no matter how large. Colors, sound ALL is better in a theater!
MRMichal ReynaFavorite visual. Bruno K by door aiming at cop. Deniro walking on rooftops casing BLACK HAND.
MRMike ReynoldsAmaIng on the big screen!
