Synopsis
Fathom Events, TCM and Paramount Pictures present The Godfather Part II, returning to cinemas for a special three-day event! Francis Ford Coppola continues his epic Godfather trilogy with this saga of two generations of power within the Corleone family. Coppola, working once again with the author Mario Puzo, crafts two interwoven stories that work as both prequel and sequel to the original. One shows the humble Sicilian beginnings and New York rise of a young Don Vito, played by Robert De Niro in an Oscar®-winning performance for Best Supporting Actor. The other shows the ascent of Michael (Al Pacino) as the new Don. Reassembling many of the cast members who helped make The Godfather®, Coppola has produced a movie of staggering magnitude and vision, the film received eleven Academy Awards® nominations, winning six including Best Picture of 1974. Saw it 1974 and countless times on TV but seeing it again on the big screen reminded me of how epic it was. Great storytelling & acting. The back and forth of present day and Vito's history make this a terrific saga. Glad I went.

I thought I was in heaven 20 years ago when I saw both 1 and two together as a double feature. this by far was the most enthralling showing I had ever seen! I for the first time finally saw the gun put to freddo to end this tragic opera. I was totally blown away

If you get a chance to see The Godfather Part II on a big screen, BY ALL MEANS GO!! Some movies cannot be done justice on DVD or via streaming on a tv no matter how large. Colors, sound ALL is better in a theater!
