Saw it 1974 and countless times on TV but seeing it again on the big screen reminded me of how epic it was. Great storytelling & acting. The back and forth of present day and Vito's history make this a terrific saga. Glad I went.

I thought I was in heaven 20 years ago when I saw both 1 and two together as a double feature. this by far was the most enthralling showing I had ever seen! I for the first time finally saw the gun put to freddo to end this tragic opera. I was totally blown away
5 stars and rightfully so. This is the epitome of what film should be. Is it perfect? No, no film is, but damn does it come close.
So glad I finally had to chance to see Godfather 2 on the big screen. Given the current state of American cinema, these TCM events are the only reason I attend theatrical showings anymore.
If you get a chance to see The Godfather Part II on a big screen, BY ALL MEANS GO!! Some movies cannot be done justice on DVD or via streaming on a tv no matter how large. Colors, sound ALL is better in a theater!

its the freeking godfather.....id rather they have played the full directors cut becasue so much was cut out. was still awesome

It is even better than the first film, and has the greatest single final scene in Hollywood history, a real coup de cinéma.
The Godfather PART II is the most ambitious American movie in terms of size and scope in recent memory. It goes much deeper than “The Godfather” in analyzing the twisted mentalities of these men who pervert the capitalist system for their own gain. The film is richer in texture and gives more evidence of social awareness.
