I honestly didn’t think this one was all that scary…it was entertaining but I just cringed through most of it. It seemed a bit cheap compared to the first movie. Not my favorite. Could have been wayyy better!

While not as “scary” as the original, it still succeeds in nearly every way. This movie took the more “showing” than “telling” approach in contrast to the original, but it was still handled very well. The horror and emotional elements peaked, and will go down as one of the best.

It is a basic thing done very well, in many ways a pristine example of what Wan always shows up to do. He’s going to keep you anxious and create memorable and horrific imagery that lingers in the mind, as well as moments of levity in-between that’s are surprisingly genuine.

It was good, the only thing I think should have been done better, in both 1 and 2, is set up the villains/demons more. The Crooked man was literally in one scene before his one other scene at the end of the movie. And the Nun, I feel like she shouldn’t have died so easily.

That old man was actually terrifying. But the ending feels like it was a little rushed. I do really like the film tho. The plot is very good and I recommend watching all of the Conjuring films. But like all the movies were Ed and Lorain are in its often a great film.

I'd probably give it the same rating as the first. In some ways, it's better, and in others, worse. The pacing, for starters, was painstakingly slow and didn't necessarily require a 2-hour runtime, especially as it's a repeat, just set in England and with a slightly better, albeit formulaic,…

I really like how the conjuring movies goes against the normal horror movie stereotype, for example, when the mom brought police to their house to check if it was haunted the police got actual proof instead of seeing nothing like they would’ve in the stereotypical scary movie😍

Felt like the story was dragged but overall entertaining and one of the better Conjuring films. My issue with the movies is that it’s always a demon taking the form of, then possessing multiple different people and it just gets messy. Still scary tho. 7/10
