Synopsis
If you could bring the ones you love back from the dead, would you? Keanu Reeves stars in this sci-fi thriller as Dr. William Foster, a scientist obsessed with importing human consciousness into computer systems. His partner (Thomas Middleditch) is working on human cloning. Things are starting to go well when tragedy strikes: Foster’s wife and two children are killed in a car wreck.
Doc Foster snaps. With tech on hand to enable both cloning and consciousness transfer, he sets out to recreate his lost family. There are limitations and complications, however — and a company that sees any product of Foster’s research, no matter how personal, as its property.

This is arguably the worst movie I've ever watched. Keanu Reeves's acting is similar to dry burnt toast. If I took a shot for every bad acting moment, I would die from alcohol posioning. Also his character sucks and is really stupid for someone who's a "scientist"

6/10: Confusing The plot was great. The acting was bad. The CG was bad. There were lots of obvious plot holes and things that didn’t make sense. It’s a bit of a let down of a movie.

Replicas manages to be perversely entertaining for its fast-paced first half, if only because of the sheer absurdity of its storyline. But it eventually devolves into tedious thriller tropes.

Replicas is chock-full of histrionic what-ifs that seem to hyperventilate so hard in their delivery that they don’t have enough oxygen to actually blow anyone’s mind. It would be the stuff of future cult screenings if it wasn’t so boring and muddled.

The utter stupidity of Replicas sometimes makes it feel almost daring. It goes to some dark, counterintuitive places out of a seeming obliviousness to both what science fiction audiences might want to see, and how actual people might behave.
