Synopsis
When the creator of a virtual reality world called the OASIS dies, he releases a video in which he challenges all OASIS users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune. Wade Watts finds the first clue and starts a race for the Egg.

There was not a single frame of this movie where I thought to myself "Steven Spielberg directed this"

DPDavid Pettyits like Hollywood gave the book to a drunk screenwriter and told him to read half and replace the pivotal timeless key challenges with currently popular games and remove any journey of friendship and add a nonsense Insta romance.

If I had not read the book it would have been better. There were so many changes that I didn't love it. But it could stand on its own had I not had a different storyline in mind.

I saw the film in IMAX, and a week later I’m still waiting for the safe return of my optic nerves, but it was the meagre emotional charge that shocked me most. Toward the end, as in many Spielberg movies, there are tears, but, for once, they feel unearned.
