Synopsis
This sequel finds Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope Von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) in need of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s game, Sugar Rush. So they venture out of their cozy arcade and find themselves in a whole new world. Specifically: the World Wide Web! In this vast new internet landscape, the pair will have to rely on the local netizens to find their way – including one buzzy trendsetter named Yesss (Taraji P. Henson). Oh, and they might also encounter a whole bunch of familiar faces as well. For example: it turns out that Vanellope fits right in with the Disney Princesses (who are voiced by their original actors, including Mandy Moore, Kristen Bell, and Ming-Na Wen).

I can't decide if I hate the movie itself more or I hate what it represents more but suffice to say I hate both of them pretty significantly
James (Schaffrillas)Jan 26, 2019this woman sitting behind me silently whispered “oh my gosh, Finding Nemo” when ariel came on screen and that’s all i’ve been able to think about for the past hour ...
owenApr 21, 2019i’m sure there’s a really heartwarming message about friendship buried somewhere in this feature-length corporate commercial, but my main takeaway is that they made ralph say “e-boy” way too many times for comfort

thank god ralph didn’t go into the letterboxd app, he would have been really confused when it was just an animated quentin tarantino cult
ColinFeb 12, 2019Anything remotely clever or funny about how this visually renders navigating online spaces (which, for people not as Extremely Online as I am, is probably perfectly serviceable) was undone for me by how this insidiously sells corporate branding to kids as a harmless,…
Josh LewisNov 20, 2018I expected this to be The Emoji Movie 2.0. The trailers were frankly pretty terrible, the Disney brand-milking was super obvious, and even as a massive fan of the first movie (it's my favorite modern Disney film) I couldn't imagine a world where this would be even close to…

Honestly worst movie I’ve seen in a while. Pissed me off the whole time so love to hate watch it I guess. #notmyralph

Ugh. Animation is nice but the story is boring. The internet stuff feels so rehashed and overdone at this point. Also Vanellope’s character development in the first one is basically thrown out the window. The message is nice, but not for Wreck it Ralph characters

Good animation. Bad story. I hate it when a movie builds foundation and uses the sequel to OBLITERATE that said foundation. Also Ralph was straight up annoying
The first movie was refreshing, and interesting. This one diluted its characters, and reminded me of the Emoji Movie a bit too much, and a bit too soon.

make sure to stay after the credits.
ASAllison SalmonIt had a few funny moments but the plot felt a bit disjointed and it lacked any of the heart of the original
GMgus martinezFelt like a giant ad, the story sucked. Horrible movie.

A couple of good moments but not much else.
AJadam jacksonit was not like the original. the premise of the movie was not even well connected. alot of the movie seemed to be a glorified advertisement for different services.

It was not that great. Dissapointing.
JTJoe TongVery, very creative, and we appreciated Disney's self-deprecating humor. It could've gone without pushing some of the movie's non-universal "values" though...
