This movie 80’s so hard!! Soundtrack is fire. Small town hero vs evil corporation at bmx race to determine his future. Complete with falling in love in a day and a half and the loyal entourage and evil villain team. So love this film. It’s not a cinematic masterpiece. Just fun.
Nick Dubberly is "meh" onRadEssentially Karate Kid with BMX bikes. I knew nothing of this movie, except for maybe seeing a trailer for it before watching another movie on VHS, and seeing it at the video store. I didn’t hate it, in fact, I was actually pretty entertained by it.
Hardcore Epic Fanboy-Stan-Worshiper likedRadThis movie is literally just one and a half hours of the 80s. You’ll either love it for that or hate it for that. For me, it’s definitely stupid and messy, but I had enough fun to say it was worth my time. Not a bad 100th log.

It lives on its action and dies on its gab. It also would have been better without all those songs about catching the thunder and grabbing the lightning and going for the glory. They sound like a rejected ad campaign for Old Milwaukee. In movies like this, action is often enough--but here, it's just not radical.
