Synopsis

Wow. Kara Young is a STAR. Casting Sterling K. Brown, who often plays characters with deep moral authority, as the villain is such an inspired choice. Black women’s rage being played straight and not for laughs or shame is so refreshing to see. I’m all for more films…

🫎🫎🫎1/2 Great directorial debut. Lots of cool techniques in here. Best example was the use of text for the twin telepathy. Solid story and solid characters. Late night solo showing might’ve altered my feelings about this movie a bit, but all in all a good movie.

The film feels stylish, emotional, twisted & layered in a way that keeps unfolding scene after scene. Inspirations from Tarantino & Jordan Peele, but it still feels completely original. Cast brings so much power to the screen. One of those movies that sticks with you.
jam jammy jambam likedIs God IsIncredibly stylized revenge flick. The twins had great chemistry and the twinepathy was fun. Everyone was amazing, Sterling K too, especially since he only properly shows up 80 minutes in. Hand to hand combat was a miss and I wish it was bloodier. ALSO MOSES SUMNEY!!
