Synopsis
It’s been 40 years since Laurie Strode first escaped the murderous intentions of Michael Myers on his Halloween killing spree. And now Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role to face off against her stab-happy brother, played once more by Nick Castle, in what just might be their final confrontation. Or is it? This is a horror movie after all. David Gordon Green, who co-wrote the screenplay with Danny McBride, directs this anticipated installment of the long-running franchise. And while the director and star of Pineapple Express drew inspiration from the original 1978 Halloween in crafting this new entry, they had a bit of help. In fact, series creator John Carpenter himself acted as a consultant. The film also stars Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Virginia Gardner, Will Patton, Jefferson Hall, and Toby Huss.

cookieOct 20, 2018There’s a lot to unpack here so I’ll start of by saying my immediate reaction walking out of the theater was that I liked it, despite having some issues... so I went home and let it simmer for a while... The first act didn’t jive with me, but once Michael obtained the…

The pitch: what if Halloween H20 but way better?
Patrick WillemsOct 13, 2021I dunno what’s worse, being stalked by Michael Myers or having to crawl across a dirty gas station bathroom floor

my man Michael gets locked up for nearly half a century and the first thing he does after escaping is continue committing the same bit he started 40 years ago… genuinely an inspiration to me 😪☝️

#1 gizmo fanOct 22, 2018“happy halloween, michael” the thing about the original that’s drawn people in for 40 years is how well it’s crafted: the music, the specific angles and the way the camera swings around. the tension and the mystery of it. but like so many before and after it, this one…

This was good. For the wrong reasons. I will say this was the best version of Laurie we’ve had and all the parallels were fun to notice too. Other than that this movie made me laugh. I haven’t had that reaction from Halloween movie until now. Felt like a “Scary Movie” movie.
In all the franchises that are still trying to make movies and profit off old slashers. THIS is a blueprint to do it!! Loved this film so much and it really helped im the grand scheme of the franchise with some not so much hit and more miss sequels weve received througj the years

Watching this series has been one of the most unnatural yet satisfying viewing experiences I have ever had for a film trilogy or franchise mainly because I watched this in complete review order. I watched Ends first, Kills second and then Halloween (2018) third. Viewing this after seeing the…

SASamantha AdairAnyone who loves the original should definitely see it. Some plots within were weak, but for the most part, it's a solid movie that should make any Michael Myers' fan quite excited.
DDDanak DabonneThe shock/horror factor was missed as did the ship this fiasco sail in on. I was expecting an epic battle but found myself bored most of the time complimented with predictable scenarios. Ughhhh disappointed to say the least.....my favorite scene is Julian stealing the…

Was expecting better. All that build-up for a weak and predictable ending. Best part was the kid, Julian.
