Synopsis
Get ready to catch up with some old friends from the Hundred Acre Wood in Disney’s Christopher Robin. Inspired by the classic characters created by A.A. Milne, the film finds Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) all grown up, with a stressful job that is pulling him away from his wife (Hayley Atwell) and young daughter (Bronte Carmichael). What he needs is to get his get his priorities straight and rediscover the joys of life – and who better to help him than his childhood pal, Winnie the Pooh? Directed by Marc Forster, Christopher Robin also stars Mark Gatiss as Christopher Robin’s boss, and features the voices of Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh; Chris O’Dowd as Tigger; Brad Garrett as Eeyore; Toby Jones as Owl; Nick Mohammed as Piglet; Peter Capaldi as Rabbit; and Sophie Okonedo as Kanga.

christopher robin said to pooh, “i haven’t thought about them in 30 years,” (in regards to all of the animals) and pooh replied, “i think about you everyday,” AND I FELT THAT WEIGHT OF SADNESS TO MY VERY CORE

It took the plot of Blood and Honey of Christopher Robin Leaving them alone to grow up but obviously it’s PG so they don’t go mad. And honestly i liked it. It wasn’t the best but still I loved seeing our favorite Characters again. 7/10.

👍👍 An unexpectedy tear-filled gut punch. I liked Winnie the Pooh growing up, but not particularly so. What really made it impactful was the exploration of the titular character and his personal crisis. Simplistic? Sure. But a sweet story about family.

Pooh said it best, "Doing nothing is the best kind of something you can do." These two hours of nothing are much better than all the "too much" going on in the world. Missing it would make you a Movie Fan Of Very Little Brain.

Because Disney wants your money, of course. I don’t begrudge their need for greed; I just wish they hadn’t given us yet another movie built on the pseudo-psychological cliché that adults need to reconnect with their childhoods in order to be better adults.
