Brightburn turns a classic superhero scenario into a horror story. Elizabeth Banks and David Denman play the couple whose lives become a battle for survival as their adopted son manifests a sinister will along with his powers. Produced by Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker James Gunn.

We Need to Talk About Clark Kent
Wesley R. BallAug 5, 2019Get it? He's the bad guy.
Josh LewisMay 21, 2019The details of Superman’s origin are so ingrained in pop culture they’re rarely questioned, but dwell on them for even a second and the story becomes completely deranged. A kind couple from Kansas discovers an alien baby in a space ship and raises it as their child? When he…

It’s a no from me... The best part of the movie was the credits when Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy played.
tyJun 30, 2019Congratulations it's very edgy.
matt lynchPros: • Genuinely scary • Outrageous violence and lots of gore • Elizabeth Banks' performance • The ending Cons: • An intriguing concept that they didn't utilize that much. What a waste! Also, Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" played during the end credits. I thought it was…

Bad Superman. You mean Evil Superman, right? Nope. Just bad, bland, beige, boring Superman. But what about the gory bits? Fine. Bad Superman with some cool gory bits.
DirkHMay 28, 2019Really makes you think. Like, what IF Superman was an evil little boy? Probably would be bad news.
estherJun 25, 2019Elizabeth Banks copes with the fact that her alien son is a cold-blooded killer by painting a large portrait of a cow.

Despite the absolutely brain dead parents, this was so insane and so fun. It’s not even just an evil Superman story, because the aspect of it being a pre-teen somehow makes it so much worse. I wanna kick this kid into the sun out of self-preservation💀 so overall a good movie lmao
zack likedBrightburnI just love this movie, the concept is absolutely amazing. 8/10
Martini lovedBrightburna great thriller, to think such as what if Superman was evil after discovering his power, the costume design of this movie deserves their own awards, i feel like there should be a sequel with a time gap, just to grasp his full power as an adult, Overall - 9.5/10
- Superbad dislikedBrightburn
Movie with some well known good actors plagued by a mediocre evil superman story with hopes that shotty cgi gore and violence would hold this film up, which I guess it mostly does considering everything else sucks about this film
Bre dislikedBrightburnaverage white suburban mom doesnt believe her husband (its really annoying)
Arsal likedBrightburnA brilliant superhero-horror mashup—a “what if Superman was a psycho?”. Basically like Homelander. Brandon’s unchecked powers justify every paranoid fear characters like Batman ever had about Superman. It’s creepy, gory, & unforgettable, a bold twist on the genre.

10/10 Superman Horror Fan fiction. Its so good and still has some technical potential like shooting from different povs. Irl its probably a 3 stars tho but for a fanfic alt universe this is top tier

LCL Clarksonthis was white privilege at its finest.
BMBowen MoranGreat idea but no substance or reason. Brandon Bryers I.e. evil Superman/superpreteen has no real reason for being evil. No plot structure just a bad kid doing bad things because he’s bad. Special effects are great but I couldn’t get into the movie. There’s just no reason…

This does not need a sequel a prequel or a spinoff.
TLTreacy LambertTotal crap. Don’t waste your time or your money.
MVMarcelo VidalI wanted to like this movie but there was no character development and just jump scarers. It was pretty much the paranormal activity of antiheroes.

Director is confused! Don't use James Gunn's name to rip off moviegoers!
CKChris KosticIf what your looking for is evil Superman this is the movie. Effects could be better. Overall very entertaining.
BBBasilios BatsiosFails as a horror film, but excels as a DC movie. Best DC origin story film since Dark Knight!
