Women do indeed talk Highlight of the experience was the woman next to me waking up her husband with ‘women talking means men listening’

Zach ShevichMar 1, 2023Great movie but why is the color grading like that. Like I get what they're going for but you can make a movie look bleak without making it look like an antidepressants commercial

men are afraid to let women speak, to dream, to be intelligent. because once they are they lose their power.
A bottle film with not much extension from the main setting. The movie really peaked my interest from early on with discussion of moral ambiguity and what makes things right or wrong. The nature of the story wasn’t too much in my interests but I do like these self aware debates.

Two reasons why I watched this film: (1) It is nominated for best picture for the Oscars. (2) Rooney Mara & Frances McDormand. This movie just gives me cringy cult vibes and was just slow throughout. The acting is solid it’s just not my forte.
It’s hard to put this into words. What seems like a relatively simple premise is so gripping and moving from start to finish that I couldn’t look away. Every single performance in this was impressive, but Jessie Buckley is on another level. Some of the most compelling acting I’ve seen. This…
Fantastic movie. Incredible cast delivering great performances all around. Heartbreaking yet empowering story based on actual events. Run time flies right by, even when the bulk of the film is exactly as the title suggests. It’s just women talking, apart from a few quick cuts.

Decent take on the “pent up” episodic idea where the characters are stuck in a room for basically the entire ep. Character: August Quote: “freedom is good; it is better than slavery. Forgiveness is good; it is better than revenge. And hope… Moment: see above Rating: 6/10
Definitely not for everyone but very impactful and well done. I shouldn’t have been but I was surprised this was mostly a true story and despite the religious setting of the movie, extremely socially relevant, bringing to bear the complexities of relationships of every kind.

VVVictor VictorThis movie lives up to its title. The drama is unsubtle too.
