this is the only film that matters... try top a scene where an old lady sits on the back of a motorbike shooting at people with multiple guns in the middle of a car chase,, you can’t

Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown

A solid black comedy that put one of the greatest international filmmakers on the global stage. Just a masterful execution of quick, character-driven storytelling. A lot happens in a short time, and the chaos takes center stage.

🫎🫎🫎1/2 Fifth film for my Spanish Cinema class. As someone who doesn’t speak Spanish, the comedy aspect of this film gets lost in translation. What i mean is that reading the words for a comedy is different than actually being able to fully immerse yourself in it. Therefore, i didn’t find this…

The La Lupe song at the end made me like it even more, brilliant! The melodramatic yet comedic dialogue made it feel telenovela coded and it’s also a super stylish looking film. Candela’s character was pure comedy tho 😂.

This is painless sexual politics, a fiendish comedy full of prickles and pain and the bright shiny pinks of a matador's cape. The farce falters from time to time, the pace is imperfect, but who can resist this Twilight Zone of limitless coincidences?
