Bohemian Rhapsody’s damage has been catastrophic and permanent I fear
Emma 🔆Dec 20, 2022If I had spent 30 minutes watching some of Whitney’s greatest hits on YouTube and then read the Wikipedia entry about her, I would have gotten the exact same level of insight into her life

whitney deserves way better than this
ram<3Dec 20, 2022Naomi Ackie’s breakout performance in the overlong & conventional WHITNEY HOUSTON: I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY is sensational. Any scenes she shares with the lovable Stanley Tucci are highlights. The rest is sadly lacking its own voice for the greatest voice of her…

zoë rose bryantDec 27, 2022Did you know that Whitney Houston's biopic, called simply, “Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody” hits upon over 40 different touch-points of Whitney’s life, but failed to adequately explore any one of them with any sort of real depth? Did you know that,…
📀 Cammmalot 📀Dec 26, 2022Being such a massive fan of Whitney over the years I was very hesitant at how this would actually turn out. Especially after the not quite right looking trailers. It did had plenty of flaws. The direction wasn’t the best. It was pretty cookie cutter biopic wise. It was…

An incoherent montage of Whitney's life.
TST SAwesome Movie! Focusing on her great Music & Career and not the Tragedy. Songs bring back great memories!
LMLati MillIt was okay. I could've been longer and more detailed about her life.

Didn't want to like it, but I LOVED it. A very moving & sensitive Tribute. I love that it ended on a positive memory & the pictures from her life at the end are nice.
TATimothy AlstonI was so glad to see her dynamic interpretation of Whitney's characterization! so amazing and brought chills to my body on the performances
SESidney EliepierreThe tragic story of a talent lost too soon to the negative side effects of stardom and sudden wealth

I think they did a good job, I just wished they would not have gone so deep in her drug addiction and concentrated more on the good things about her.
JKJoyce KrausThe movie was done very well. The actors did a great performance. It was not violent, graphic sex, or inappropriate in any way. I loved the singing.
TCTony ChowI felt like it were Whitney herself acting in the movie. It is as impactful as Bohemian Rhapsody to me.

I wanna feel the HEAT … but I don’t. On the contrary, the animatronic new Whitney Houston biopic “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” left me shivering from a gust of arctic air as it so clinically and lazily examines the tragic life of the famous singer.

The indelible, unmatched voice of Houston may live on, but I Wanna Dance with Somebody lacks the ingredients of what made Houston a force that permanently altered every person who truly heard her.

There are only clichés in this rise-and-fall material, with the sole distinctive wrinkle being the weight given to the rise versus the fall.
