weapons, resident evil, whalefall calling it the “austin abrams having the shittiest day ever” trilogy
daddy issues so bad he gotta talk to a whale about it
it never occurred to me that the guy trapped inside the whale could be bisexual, and maybe that makes me a bad person
watched in 4DX, which i do think is probably akin to the experience of being in war. extremely disorienting experience, further complicated by me repeatedly trying to take a sip of my drink just before the chair shook and splashed it in my face. the person next to me showed…
who among us hasn’t been swallowed by the personification of our unresolved trauma
This time the sperm swallows you
Typical Austin Abrams subplot
please keep putting austin abrams into situations
austin abrams a scream king who actually screams
If you have daddy issues... this could make you tear up a little. But Austin's performance was once again incredible !
Am I the only one that thinks theres no way he escaped the whale? I think he got nitrogen narcosis after the whale swam down really fast, and hallucinated everything after until dying. Would explain why we didn’t get to know what the note from his dad said, because he never knew.
Only reason I’m not disliking this movie is for Austin Abram’s sake. I’m sorry but wtf was this movie. The dialogue (the little there was) was so BAD I can’t
The acting was fantastic but the film was just meh
I felt it with that jellyfish. I would talk to it
That feeling when you *fall* into a *whale* 🐳😜 But fr, this was solid. Definitely one of those movies where the best way to watch is in theaters. Some of the scenes had me genuinely gritting my teeth 😭 Abrams and Brolin were both great as always, and I thought they balanced the inner monologue…
I was so tense it kept getting worse and worse what a nightmare. And then came the tears 😭 He still needed to grieve and reach out to others even if it was such a conflictual relationship. I’m not liking the dad that much honestly but I guess that’s why it’s cruel, it still hurt
he still in that damn whale
I bet this film would have been the ultimate 4DX watch, and I’m usually against the likes of that and ScreenX as a format. Whalefall manages to get far more ground out of its premise than I imagined possible. Utilising time spent inside the whale, and within flashbacks - and “imagined…
it was actually a good movie. he did listen to what he's dad told him that's how he survived.
The dialog in this movie was so boring, the movie was so Unrealistic, the graphics were awful, movie made no sense, and the ending was SO bad.
okay in the beginning. but got bored towards the end
I've never seen a movie so utterly awful.
It was serviceable until the final act. Honestly not sure why this movie exists.
good
Actually pretty good
Really Great Movie I always wondered if it has ever happened to someone
at first I wanted to be a jellyfish.. then I was on the verge of sobbing. the visuals were amazing and the storytelling was just as good.
