Regina George’s favorite movie.
EpicTorchJan 27, 2021America was a much funner place before we knew that any level of playing football causes CTE, that big fat guys with drinking problems weren't "cool, fun, party animals" but rather sad, depressed men looking to kill themselves, that guys who brag about giving sophomore…

the original “you’re giving up on your dream son” “no dad i’m giving up on your dream” sports film

MikeB ✝️Jan 28, 2021a movie that only could've been made pre-9/11, pre-opiod epidemic, pre-CTE, pre-Me Too. an odd little timepiece that still has its charms, including the great casting of Jon Voight as a fascist small-town Texas football coach.

grew up watching this movie (prob shouldn’t have watched it so young tbh) but an absolute classic. i don’t particularly like football movies but this is an exception 10/10
The style of this movie was so odd. I think the director occasionally forgot they were doing a teen sports movie and started directing a true drama with close ups and zoom ins. But I still really like it 🫣 this would’ve been a love if not for that awful awful strip club scene 😭
4/10 I can’t tell you what the theme of this movie is. Is it a romance? Sports hero? Drama? The plot jumps all over the place and it has no feet to stand on. I couldn’t bring myself to care for any of the characters. You don’t get what you hope to get from a football movie.

9.0 This movie is pretty corny, but it almost fits the vibe of the movie and enhances it. I think this movie tells a story of the darker side of sports which isn’t seen often in media, which I really enjoyed. This movie is funny, entertaining, and truthfully heartwarming.
This movie surprised me it went a little deeper than I'd anticipate. I think it really highlighted just how it impacts several different proople who live in the culture of HS football being #1 over all else. It's not contemplative, but the story is approachable and full.

Only watch this, because I had finished watching the first fast and furious and seen Paul walker was in this movie also so I watched it I didn’t mind the movie just a lot of American football so if you like football I would watch this movie
Film conseillé par Michael Scott et son “Movie Monday” ! Typiquement American, tellement redneck, le football à son paroxysme, le lycée américain et tous ses enjeux avec un casting de fou et une très belle histoire et moral en bonus.
