So thematically on point most of the shots of Bruce Willis are long unbroken takes.
Matt SingerJul 25, 2021100 Watching this for the umpteenth viewing, I couldn't help but focus on how every scene, set-up, narrative development, choice of color and mood and music, feels fresh. Even the most rudimentary moments are captured by M. Night Shyamalan's determination of form. Just…
SilentDawnJul 27, 2021I love how uninterested this film is in keeping its symbolism subliminal. Shoot Glass through glass in every scene, give the everyday superhero an everyday uniform with a big SECURITY logo on the back, make it a poncho to block water after establishing his weakness as…

Slow. Kept waiting for something interesting to happen. Felt like all they did was talk about how interesting things COULD happened. Couldn't get through it.
Not going to lie, i rewatched this just so I could rewatch split and glass, but in actuality I should've rewatched this because it's such an amazing movie. The build up and the pay off are insane, and the plot twist at the end is masterful. Astounding performances all around too

‘Unbreakable’ is a film which is my favorite M. Night Shyamalan film. This movie is a superhero film but an original one that’s not beholden to any comic book. With great performances, a fantastic score, and a brilliant twist Bruce Willis and Shyamalan have never been better.
this was good i liked the homages to comic books and superheroes, that stuff is super cool and well-done can be sometimes slow at parts, definitely more engaged during the second half of the movie wish there were more female characters that weren’t tied to male characters

An excellent and fresh interpretation of the superhero genre with a ton of excellent weight as a dramatic picture. It’s expertly directed with great cinematography and tense music. I find this movie and its characters beyond fascinating. Plus, the ending is fantastic.
The best of the trilogy, the pacing, story and cinematography are great. The way Shyamalan frames scenes is brilliant and much like 6th Sense he uses color for emphasis (pay attention!). And then there’s an ending that pays off.
