"They'll print anything these days." The one where they say "satellite" way too many times. If GoldenEye brought James Bond into the contemporary world by replacing its dated international politics with a commentary on the threatening possibilities of new technology,…

adamboltOct 8, 2012never seemed to me to be radically different from the beloved THE SPY WHO LOVED ME. a reasonably ridiculous story by Bond standards coupled with some incredible production design and superb late-analog action sequences the likes of which will simply never be seen again. i'm…

“They’ll print anything these days.”I just love how Michelle Yeoh outshines Bond in his own movie. There’s not enough of her in this.
Bryan EspitiaNov 15, 2022I just want to inject the David Arnold score directly into my veins. A pure adrenaline hit of a Bond film. It’s so fast and action packed it’s one of my go-to films if I just want a no nonsense two hour thrill ride. Brosnan is superb in this and surround by a great…

Straight off the huge success of goldeneye comes Tomorrow never dies a decent second Bronson film but slightly forgettable when compared to the heights of goldeneye, it does however offer a sleek action packed film with a lot of fun action set pieces and Gadgets which you…
SamMar 9, 2010This movie might not entice much with its plot, but when it comes to pure entertainment and Bond thrills, it’s right up there among the best. Personally, enjoyed this more than the Golden Eye. It has got some of the most explosive action set pieces and enjoyable gadget…
Michael JamesJun 30, 2017Geoff T's James Bond-a-Thon #18 Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) Yes, I actually like this one alot. Sure, topping Goldeneye is no easy task, but Tomorrow Never Dies at least makes an attempt. Pierce Brosnan's second outing as 007 definitely tries to up the ante in regard…

Brosnan is as characteristic as ever. This is a pretty solid Bond film in terms of excitement and being action packed however the plot and writing is pretty weak and lacklustre. Having said that, the action sequences are a lot of fun. Rating: H- 7/10 L- 7/10
It’s on the average a good movie and a great bond movie so it’s one of the ones of the franchise that are worth your time mainly just for the fact the bond woman is a complete and total badass throughout its entire runtime. Overall it’s paced and acted well so imma give a 8.7/10

This generation of 007 movies are not good. When they take themselves seriously they get kinda stupid. They also aged poorly, especially the later films. I can't take Pierce seriously in this role. He is far too soft looking.
Briosnan is back again. The plot and script are pretty weak and Pryce as the villain isn’t a lot but for just sheer action and fun this is enjoyable stuff. The action doesn’t stop from start to finish and it’s always fun

An amazing bond, pierce brosnan is just the most stylish bond. Still don’t like that he drives a BMW, where’s the Aston gone
Pretty solid bond film. Rewatched after years and it is quite funny how it’s aged but solid film. Peak Brosnan

Metacritic
Tomorrow Never Dies sticks to the Bond formula without bringing anything new, or particularly inspired, to the proceedings. (Besides a lot of shameless product placement, that is.)
Tomorrow Never Dies is convincing proof that there's life yet in fiction's most famous cold warrior. In fact, because the film shifts the focus from Evil Empires to crazed terrorists, it's possible to walk away with a double good feeling: Not only does good triumph over evil, but countries of differing ideologies are able to work together.
For the most part, then, Tomorrow Never Dies is a straightforward action picture. And since the action is clearly and suspensefully staged, this unpretentious production turns out to be the best Bond flick in years.
