“Away you heathens who electrocute me! Who do you think you are?” I really wanted to like this, but the inspired dream cast is sadly let down by a script that struggles to find its footing and leaves them languishing. On a side note, the way Richard Gere reads…

Whoever wrote this doesn't seem to have a handle on how to make an impactful scene or create a full-bodied narrative with well-explored characters because there's plenty of promise laying right here on the table - a true story from the 1950s about three mental patients who…

watched this for my personality course. I expected this to me more like a psychologist's analysis on personality , it really wasnt , instead its a heartfelt story about identity and empathy , with some great performances. Alan Stone was one of the first to critique andd…

Wished I got something coming out of this film. But it falls short, despite committed performances and an interesting story.

How do you tell a dramatized story about schizophrenic people in a way that doesn’t feel like the rough equivalent of mental-illness blackface? That’s a challenge that this fact-based drama from co-writer/director Jon Avnet never quite navigates. In 1959 Michigan,…

You know you're in for something great when a movie starring several good actors finds nobody to release it for over two years.

Three Christs opts in for frustratingly broad characters that feel like half-considered caricatures and Jeff Russo’s sentimental, strings-heavy score that flattens whatever modest edge the movie might have had.

Just an odd mess of a movie. That you feel anything at all is a tribute to the acting talent of Dinklage and Goggins, who occasionally make us care.

Gracefully directed by Fried Green Tomatoes and Justified director Jon Avnet, Three Christs is a great dark comedy about a dark subject. I can’t say enough how great the performances are. It’s a relevant character study on those who suffer from mental illness and the ones who treat it and why they do.
