One of the greatest ever films to come out of the UK. A powerful indictment of racism and fascist ideologies, truly one of the best films I’ve seen using a neo-realistic approach. Stephen Graham’s performance is frighteningly faultless.

A film as emotional and heartbreaking as it can be sensitive and touching, dealing with strong political themes that will upset you and horrify you to your core. We dive deep into loyalty and prejudice, and we see the ignorance of a child blindly following the misplaced and…

not totally surrounding this film (although I do think he gives one of the greatest and most primal performances of all time); it's a travesty that Stephen Graham isn't heavily recognised/mentioned more as one of the true great performers working today. He's a one-of-a-kind…

This Is England

I remember a boy in year 8 asked me if I had watched this, I hadn’t but I went on to watch it. To him (at the time) he must’ve thought of some of these scenes as funny and just what ‘the lads’ do (Paul Willis), but watching this made me think of those who get pressured into this

This Is England

A moving picture that explores influence, racial inequality, and everything a human being could believe on a deeper level, makes us see the world and appreciate how small it really is when people come together to believe in something!

Watched on DVD from Charity shop 😊. Amazingly realistic acting, brilliant coming of age drama set in 1982🎭 get it on your list 8/10! Stream sequels of This is England 1986, 1988 and 1990 on CH4

Idomiai kultura to meto pavaizduota. Aiskiai kalba apie rasizmo tema, bet nesuprantu ar anglas paziurejes butu uz ji ar pries ji. Matosi, kad mid90s buvo inspired detalemis.

This Is England

Great, moving movie. I found some scenes very strange, but that probably fits the period in which the story takes place. Left me speechless at the end.

Probably the best movie I’ve ever watched. Nothing can give me the same feeling this movie does every time I watch it.

This Is England

Best British film to date. Even relates to recent events. I think every racist or extremist should watch this movie.

This Is England

Realistic, shocking, and yet heartwarming at times. Shane Meadows creates a cult classic with this gem of a film.
