This was a okay movie especially for the time it was made! There is a plot twist that you just wont forget. Although the fight scenes will make you cringe its all in all okay. 6/10
Iso likedThey Live7/10 I was scarred from Vampires and expected the same boring storylines & drawn out scenes with no purpose. This completely changed my perspective, there’s so much meaning in this film and the execution is quite good especially for the 80s.

Dexter is "meh" onThey LiveThis is better if you’ve listen to zizek talk about it first. If not, the fight scene is comically long to the point that it’s stupid. I wanted to really like this but nothing can make up for the fact they’ve got the same du duuuum dum bass line playing the entirety of the movie.

Really good. I like conspiracy movies like this. I just wish it was longer because when it really started to get good, there was, like, 10 minutes left of the movie. The ending was very honourable though. One complaint: the fight between John and Frank dragged on a bit too long.

Consequence
Has its share of underthought or overwrought moments. The tone keeps shifting radically. It has some silly lines, plot lapses and goofball action scenes. But you can forgive the movie everything because of the sheer nasty pizazz of its central concept. [4 Nov 1988]
