mariaA bit weak comedically, but it's still an incredible, subversive, witty, amazing film. The dramatic stuff here is the best in the trilogy, the stakes are easily the highest, the characters are fun and entertaining. It's a fantastic finish to one of the greatest trilogies…
James (Schaffrillas)Aug 18, 2020how is it that this film about a bunch of middle-aged blokes getting drunk together has far better fight scenes than the entirety of what the Marvel Cinematic Universe has to offer

There's something about Wright and co's approach to film and comedy that just clicks with me. It started with Spaced and just kept going with the first two parts of the Cornetto trilogy. I was pretty sure that I'd like the final part of the trilogy, but I didn't expect…
DirkHAug 2, 2017i am honestly still very mad that marvel couldn't compromise and forced edgar wright to leave ant-man
truJul 11, 2017genuinely upsetting and poignant -- plays even better upon re-watches.

I like Simon Pegg films, mainly his classic ones however this just seemed very repetitive and forced and I didn’t enjoy it as much as the rest. To me it just wasn’t as funny as his other stuff and I couldn’t really get into it or enjoy it as much as some of his other films. .
Frida lovedThe World's EndVery weird but highly entertaining
Mob Spacey lovedThe World's EndSmart, intentional and lowkey anti-fascist. What else can you ask for?? Oh, maybe a compelling story about grappling with alcoholism? WELL YA DON’T SAY! Oh yeah and it’s one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a minute. The “There’s nothing between Gary and I” gag is top shelf.
- Platypus Lord likedThe World's End
Invasion of the Body Snatchers meets energetic story of bar-hopping, friendship, & growing up. Not as consistently funny as Hot Fuzz, but still a strong blend of dry humor & slapstick. The third act is a hit or miss, but overall the story connected with me more than SotD.
James Fennell lovedThe World's Endwhata movie I love the first half where it’s basically just a drinking movie with your friends and than it takes a turn that takes you ona roller coaster ride while also still drinking with friends 🙌
Andrikk0s lovedThe World's EndI don’t know what I was expecting from this movie but it wasn’t this. It’s my 2nd fav movie from the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy. The CGI were really good and the final 40 min were the best

The premise of visiting so many pubs as a narrative device, however, bogs down the initially energetic pacing and goofiness. Piling on the mayhem renders The World's End a sometimes chaotic and uneven comedy.

As in their previous comedies, Pegg and Frost play men who refuse to stop acting like boys. But these pint-swilling Peter Pans also know how to work the heart and the brain for belly laughs.

The World's End is a big, shaggy dog of a thing, a free-spirited ramble held together by off-kilter asides, clever-dumb puns, and seemingly random bits of dialogue that could almost become catchphrases in spite of themselves.
