The disturbing nature of those last 10 minutes doesn't fully set in until it's over. For some reason, as inevitable as the ending may seem for the entire movie, you still feel like there's a chance of making it out. This is hilarious too. Think I loved it. I also think folk…

One I’ve been meaning to watch for a while in the folk horror universe of film. There’s so much to praise here, from the script to the beautiful daylight cinematography. I love how you can interpret the story in so many ways. As a huge Midsommar fan, this is a true treat! 8

An incredibly original Folklore Horror movie! If you liked Midsommar, you might like this one too. Although I love Nicolas Cage, skip the remake.

The Wicker Man is, more than anything else, a film about what people can do in the name of religion or, more generally, belief. Its power comes not from appeals to the supernatural but from a deep understanding of our own undeniable nature. Horror doesn't get much closer to home than that.

A film that defies categorization, The Wicker Man can be considered to be a horror film, a psychological thriller, a musical, or a melodrama. In reality, since it includes elements of each of those types, it literally has something for just about everyone.
