Overall mid-tier social commentary/satire of upper class society. Character writing is its biggest positive. The twist comes out of nowhere, but feels like it lacks any sufficient punch. Kidman’s protagonist redeems it from the dislike though. Line delivery from her is superb. 6⭐️

At no time do the men -- that is, the straight ones -- believably hold the upper hand. In the new town of Stepford, there's no bitterness, no struggle, no competition, none of the scars of the sexual revolution. There's just gay apparel.
