some of you have never taken a jump to the left and then a step to the right and then put your hands on your hips and then brought your knees in tight and then done the pelvic thrust which really drives you insane and then done it again and it really shows

Transphobic. I understand that this movie came out in the late 70’s, however, the way the trans/queer characters are talked about is done in an incredibly ignorant way. Using words like “Transexual” and “transvestite.” As well as demonizing queer culture. 0/10 would not recommend
I cannot even put into words how much I love this movie. All I can say is just Frank N Furter made me feel so much safer to be trans and just different in general 🏳️⚧️❤️ I still go to midnight screenings whenever they pop up in my town!!!

So many words could describe how obsessed I am with this absolute god of a movie that I had the grace of watching. It seriously blessed my eyeballs and I’ll never be the same. My life has improved so much since watching this. 10/10 I recommend to everyone. WATCH THIS MOVIE. Plea-
fun, provocative, different, ahead of its time! not a movie for everyone, but definitely a movie that everyone must watch at least once. not only because it’s a classic, but because it makes you reflect and it leaves you with SO MANY QUESTIONS, but also hilarious memories. 7/10

Literally one of my fav movies now. It’s honestly just such iconic queer media and there’s always something to pull you in and grab you’re attention.

27 years since I last saw it in a theatre on Halloween. What a blast. But,....we were the only 2 people there. That's good, and bad. This is a special event for a special film. Yet, nobody else showed up. Do the younger generations not care? Or are people just not aware? These events sure feel thrown together, without any real effort. It's a shame. Rocky Horror deserves a great audience. Seeing it at the theatre makes it even better.
Worst movie ever, but that's why we keep going to see it!

The material inspires affection, given its knowing pastiche of everything from Universal horrors to '50s grade-Z sci-fi, and a shamelessly hedonistic, fiercely independent sensibility that must have seemed a welcome relief from the mainstream bombast of other '70s musicals.
