Synopsis
Fathom Events, Turner Classic Movies and Paramount Pictures are bringing The Quiet Man to select cinemas on March 13 and 17, including exclusive insights from TCM. Celebrating 70 years, John Ford’s THE QUIET MAN is simply one of the greatest love stories ever told. John Wayne is retired boxer Sean Thornton who makes a pilgrimage to his home village in Ireland in order to claim his family’s estate. This was the first time I saw this on the big screen; saw it first on TV and it's been my favourite movie ever since. Seeing it on the big screen so justified it being awarded an Oscar for cinematography!
