Synopsis
A modern Mark Twain style adventure story, THE PEANUT BUTTER FALCON tells the story of Zak (Gottsagen), a young man with Down syndrome, who runs away from a residential nursing home to follow his dream of attending the professional wrestling school of his idol, The Salt Water Redneck (Thomas Haden Church). A strange turn of events pairs him on the road with Tyler (LaBeouf), a small time outlaw on the run, who becomes Zak's unlikely coach and ally. Together they wind through deltas, elude capture, drink whisky, find God, catch fish, and convince Eleanor (Johnson), a kind nursing home employee charged with Zak's return, to join them on their journey.

MurielSep 3, 2020what an utterly beautiful addition to the films that feel like warm hugs cinematic universe
aaronReally charming but also kinda boring with some truly awful shot continuity and confusing character motivations. Also I'm not convinced that Dakota Johnson has ever acted before. Also also, I'm not convinced that Jon Bernthal has ever appeared in a movie for longer than 10…

demi adejuyigbeAug 8, 2019On paper, “The Peanut Butter Falcon” sounds like a cursed film; like a straight-faced parody of the quirkiest and most nauseatingly schematic American indies. The title alone takes you back to the awful darkness of “Napoleon Dynamite,” and the premise — a winsome young…

MBMarcus BanksDefinitely good to see Shia back on the screen. Great cast and the movie is amazing!
SGStacy GarrettSeriously a great flick. I’m a huge fan of LeBeouf and I really enjoyed seeing him take on this role. Rough life but a good heart. It was heartfelt and charming. Maybe a little too harsh of language for some with sensitive ears. But I loved it. Zak made the movie incredible.
