When I saw the dedication to Rod Lurie's son I thought "there's no way the son of a Hollywood director died fighting in Afghanistan" and sure enough it was a musical festival.
Matthew ChristmanJul 28, 2022POV you’re living in the worst placed outpost in Afghanistan that gets infiltrated by a large number of taliban days before your exfil back to the states. BRUTAL.

A very boots-on-the-ground perspective -- and I have little doubt of its authenticity, which is admirable -- robs this of a lot of nuance, and representationally it's...let's say less than ideal. But its clean formal economy goes a long way to making a successful…
matt lynchMar 7, 2021Putting a base at the bottom of an enemy valley doesn’t seem like a smart idea but then again, military intelligence is a contradictory term.
CinemaVoid 🏴☠️Jul 5, 2020👍🏻70% 2020 list - Click HERE So I am genuinely as surprised as anyone reading this with my score. As I said last night in my review for 1917, I love War films (if they are well-made). I will admit that this movie is a bit sloppy at moments. The “style” of it feels a bit…

The Outpost is intense. The action is brutal, and the story is real. My bad for sleeping on this film for so long. The climatic battle is straight up chaos. You don’t realize sometimes you have to fight without your combat gear or the desperate need for ammunition. Also,…

I’ve never been in combat but from what I’ve researched about the life of the military in these situations this seemed pretty accurate and it was fun to watch because it was intense and it was horrifying. I like how it focused on a true act of valor our hero’s experienced. 8.8/10
8.9/10 - This war story does justice to the real men who lost their lives and served this station. A truly human look at our service heroes

It’s like where you have a little something happen each day and then all hell breaks loose on the other. They went a long time where nothing serious happened. Then the flood gates opened up on them. One of the longest battles ever 7/10
9/10 Absolutely amazing. Captures all aspects of war. At the end Carter almost had me crying. Incredibly well done movie. Only thing I wish was better was when they had the camera scoped in and not accounting for recoil. Solid Movie

Other than knowing Orlando Bloom was in it, I knew absolutely nothing! Not even that this was based on a true story! This felt a lot like 13 Hours, in that they were tasked with a mission under insurmountable odds.
Okei, sõjafilmid pole alati kõigi lemmikud, kuid täiega soovitan. Film on päris lahingust, näitab miks sõda on jõel. Tõsiselt mõtlema panev film!
