Feels like a 2000s cheesy horror flick, and not a terrible one at that! The "Taker of Children" entity was pretty cool and I liked the folklore backstory. The mortuary setting was a great addition. It was pretty wild at times and entertaining but i'd be lying if I said any…
AcoucalanchaApr 17, 2023Fresh off of Passover, it seems appropriate that The Offering reminds me so much of matzah. Which is to say it’s flat, thin, bland, cheap, and desperately needing sauce or cheese or sugar to make it palatable.

Loved the story & the ending! Unfortunately the demon was not scary, so much so that it brought down the film. I’d have preferred to have been shown less of that demon. There’s no shame if the budget or vision isn’t fully realized - often what isn’t seen is scarier than…
Penny_SApr 25, 2023Score : 7.5/10 ✅ Don’t know why I feel alone with my score, which feels pretty high compared to the rest, but I sincerely thought it was quite solid. It’s another folklore film with a ton of jump scare and demon rituals but done right. I actually got scared a few…

Sam ‘StutzJan 26, 2023Pretty generic with cheap jump scares. 93 minutes long but it felt like 2hrs. Some decent performances are the highlight for me. Didn't expect much with this so I'm not surprised.

Like most horrors this was a slow first half with a creepy undertone and few good scenes. I will say the final half an hour was entertaining and I was satisfied with the ending. If you’re a horror fan this is worth the watch. Won’t be rewatching this one though
The ending was insane (spoiler alert>>>) for the ones that already watched it, I have a question. I just don’t get it like I thought the demon was inside him (Art) so how ft?? If it wasn’t the demon then wtf was it cause bro was showing black veins so?

i have mixed feelings about this movie..not sure if i liked it or not : the atmosphere was tense and at the same time kind of cozy(??) bc of the house interior’s design (funny how i never noticed this kind of details before) WHEREAS the acting and the ending were extremely bad.
Really very surprising, not at all disappointing, really it was really cool with all the horror movies coming out right now. Frankly it scares him but in any case it is in breath and that’s cool really. Surprising end in addition!

Maybe if I wasn’t half asleep during the beginning of the movie it would’ve actually been more interesting when it got to the good part but other than that I was not expecting the ending
I could not get into this movie. Tried three different times and it was rough all three. Way too slow. Nothing interesting. And the ending was stupid. Don’t waste your time.
