Atom User Reviews for The Odyssey

Sad they made him cast a woman to play a man.

THERE ISN’T ENOUGH STARS TO RANK THIS MASTERPIECE!!!

just saw it and I had no idea what to expect. The first hour and a half was a snooze fest. but then the second half finally picks up and it's a great ending

Epic film. Excellent story, cast and visuals. Did not feel like a 3-hour film. You are drawn into the story. Action scenes are incredible - Especially in the 70mm format. Must see in an IMAX theater with that option. By far this is the movie of the year for 2026. …

So bad! Really a warrior king regrets fight like a little punk! Casting was putrid - completely takes you out of the period.

The movie was no where near the movie Troy

Great movie, go see it !!!

Holy cinema

Epic

Good but expected more.

it is ok for one time watching

It’s incredible. It was so well done. I would say that if you love Greek mythology, you’re gonna love this.

Nice movie but overrated.

Amazing from start to finish!!

Nolans worst movie

IMAX was amazing!!

Chris Nolan again shows why he is a director to not be underestimated

great movie

Good history

Amazing!!

A must see if you loved the epic poem. This has all the essential themes, compacted into three fast moving hours. Well worth seeing for Nolan’s take on it.

Up against everything else out, with no CGI, Christopher Nolan made a great epic.

Stacked cast, excellent presentation, enjoyable from beginning to end.

Incredible

After watching The Odyssey, I couldn't help but reflect on how often the characters suffered because they refused to listen to the instructions they were given. Their disobedience led them off course, brought unnecessary hardship, and delayed the journey they were meant to…

Amazing tbh. Giggled at moments with Robert P. Great movie. Would watch it again

CINEMA

Just another banger from Nolan

Not enough words can describe how amazing this movie is

Really good. it's a slow burn but interesting.

Amazing . I have no other words

WOW if ODYSSEY doesn’t win movie of the year next year it proves that the Oscar’s are rigged that was BY FAR the BEST MOVIE Matt Damon has EVER DONE

Phenomenal Film

Very good and kept my attention.

I'd heard mixed reviews from friends. Although the film was visually stunning, I wish that Nolan had not chosen to have the actors use contemporary language, which sounded out of synch with his #epic vision

Great

It was not what I expected. It dragged on a little too long Since I’m a sucker for a happy ending it was good.

Fast scenes.

Excellent! Needs a big screen

Peak
