Atom User Reviews for The Nun II
The only thing this movie conjured up was a “holy” plot story. The only time i jumped was to go the bathroom.
Starts out very strongly with striking, violent imagery. Decent jump scares and premise. About half way through, the cracks begin to show. A boring maguffin shows up, followed by a finale of chiche and CGI. Would rather have watched this on streaming rather than in theaters.
Not good at all
Definitely at lot scarier than the first one. I'd watch it again.
Horror movies don't usually get good ratings but this movie was very predictable and the jump-scare scenes were a bit lame. Plus the ending tried to come off as intense, but it was cliché. Story could have been better and ending, I feel, could have been better. I hope that they don't make a part III.
Stop listening to everybody else's reviews...this movie was wayyyy better than the first lots of great jump scares and intense scenes go watch!!!
I fell asleep then left early and got a refund
Predictable, boring, and not scary at all

Can’t wait to see the nun 3
Didn’t disappoint
It was a great follow up to the first. The heart was racing from the moment it started. The scares were surprising, intense, and the story was solid. I loved it.
Strike was necessary
Really enjoyed this movie highly recommended.
Better than the first. Scarier and More violent
TRASH
Definitely have some good scary scenes, music makes you creeped out
Gave it 3 stars because I was feeling nice but should be lower. The first Nun was WAY better and scarier. Unfortunately this sequel just couldn’t live up to the hype of the first. It was predictable and boring. They tried to do too much with a bad plotline. You’re better off waiting until it lands on a streaming service.
Worst movie of 2023 without a doubt
Not scary but story was good
It was boring, does not even compared to the rise of evil dead
it got good towards the end; there'll be a "Nun 3".
There was people in my seats
It was alright
Good movie a scare movie made us jump a couple of times
I really liked it
I love the Nun, it’s my favorite, but this one wasn’t as scary as the first one. I was expecting more, but overall it was good
No
Didn't hate the movie. Just felt lackluster.
Wack fell asleep super boring
Genuinely so sickening, like I was gagged the whole time!!
Cheesyyyy!
The imax makes the movie a lot better with the Jump scares
Nun has been great. Although I do feel like they jumped the gun by showing Frenchy and the Warrens at the end. None the less this movie was fantastic.
I love it was totally scared, I totally recommend you to watch it 👻
Taking my kids to watch it next

It's good. Not as good and scary as the first one but it was good.
Honestly loved the movie and how it came back around to the original movies.
CGI was kinda unauthentic but it was a good movie overall.
It’s a horror movie that made me jump a few times, so that makes it a good one.
Good movie to go see
I love Taissa Farmiga!
Not as scary as the first
Not as great as the first but still pretty scary
Was definitely better then the first one
Spooky Ookie Cookie Dookie
Metacritic
With its tight script, well-balanced characters, and bone-chilling scares, The Nun II is the first Conjuring spinoff operating at the same caliber as the franchise's core films, proving that this universe is far from played out.
The Nun II is a marked improvement on its predecessor, as the winning duo of Taissa Farmiga and Jonas Bloquet reward the faith of Conjuring fans with a scarier, meatier boarding school nightmare that makes great use of Valak the Demon Nun, even if the mythology-heavy plot specifics get a little lost along the way.
