Synopsis

Clay Werner is "meh" onThe Nun II5.1 - Nun 2 interested, Nun 2 entertained. It’s better than the 1st, but not much. It’s just boring for most of it. One or two okay jump scares. A decent end showdown. Some sorta interesting Conjuring Universe lore. But I think it’s just time for this universe to close the book.

The only thing this movie conjured up was a “holy” plot story. The only time i jumped was to go the bathroom.
CJCarsten JewkesStarts out very strongly with striking, violent imagery. Decent jump scares and premise. About half way through, the cracks begin to show. A boring maguffin shows up, followed by a finale of chiche and CGI. Would rather have watched this on streaming rather than in theaters.

The Nun II is a marked improvement on its predecessor, as the winning duo of Taissa Farmiga and Jonas Bloquet reward the faith of Conjuring fans with a scarier, meatier boarding school nightmare that makes great use of Valak the Demon Nun, even if the mythology-heavy plot specifics get a little lost along the way.
