No one does Stephen King like Frank Darabont. He even included a nice little nod to The Dark Tower in the beginning of the film when you see Thomas Jane's character painting Roland and the Tower in a field of roses. You can tell he's a true fan. The way he handles the…

Frank Darabont simultaneously needs a big ol’ kiss and to go to hell for conceiving of the ending of this movie

“He’s a kid he’s supposed to be stupid” Finally got to watch the black and white version in a theater.  Ending still absolutely destroys me like the first time I witnessed it. So human, so raw, so hopeless. A perfect blend of mystery with in your face horror. I love it

The movie itself wasn’t terrible, but for me personally, the ending ruined it…

What a wild ride. Great performances even when some characters are written unnaturally & one character you’ll love to hate. The lack of diversity does feel jarring to watch for today’s standards in a survival premise like this along with CGI that hasn’t aged well. Still it is…

not what i expect but it was pretty good, at first i didn’t mind the religious stuff, i even liked it but by a certain point i hated it and it just got annoying, also the effects were really dated but the ending was so sad, i also feel like it could’ve been shorter

There's a grim modern parable to be read into the dangerous effects of the gospel-preaching local crazy lady Mrs. Carmody (brilliantly played by a hellfire Marcia Gay Harden) on a congregation of the fearful.

Less horrific than it is horribly didactic.

The Mist is itself a supermarket of B-movie essentials, handsomely stocked with bad science, stupid behavior, chewable lines of dialogue, religious fruitcakes, and a fine display of monsters.
