Saw it on the big screen at the Golden Apricot Film Festival. Definitely felt like a Gilliam film... just not one of his best. But it looks great. From IMDB: The film's cinematographer, Nicola Pecorini, used anamorphic lenses to "compensate" for the digital look…
Sean BakerMay 19, 2018c'est un miracle! also this is a FULL-ON brag and i'm SORRY but literally nothing will ever compare to watching this film at its premiere, closing night at cannes, at the grand théâtre lumière, and then seeing the entire theatre rally around terry gilliam after…
karen h.Aug 22, 2018Look I'm on record as deeply anti-Gilliam, yes, I even really hate that one you like a lot, but even by that metric this is a disorganized, self-satisfied mess made by a guy who still thinks he's an underappreciated genius tilting at everyone else's failures of intellect…

"When Don Quixote went out into the world, that world turned into a mystery before his eyes. That is the legacy of the first European novel to the entire subsequent history of the novel. The novel teaches us to comprehend the world as a question. There is wisdom and…
Eli HayesMay 2, 2019Gilliam’s best film since Brazil & Munchhausen.
Jonathan RosenbaumApr 10, 2019Not worth the wait. I will admit that I was entertained the entire time, and I really enjoyed watching Adam Driver bumble around in full commitment to his role, but even that got old after a while. The screenplay is a painfully unfunny (and dare I say problematic) mess…

yeah, well, i'm The Girl Who Napped Through Don Quixote, so......
Holly-BethMay 20, 2018It's kind of a mess, and not that good, and misogynistic, and a bit racist. But I was entertained and laughed sometimes. That's all that matters. Right? With all the weird Muslim jokes and creepy sexual assault stuff it just feels like it's a movie they would have made 25…

It blends fantasy and reality with playful chaos, creating a story that’s both humorous and surprisingly heartfelt. A quirky celebration of storytelling, dreams, and the stubborn beauty of chasing impossible ideals.
I thought this one was entertainingly quirky. Confusing at times but it’s meant to be. Pryce, Driver and Ribeiro kudos.

Great movie! Anybody who has enjoyed Gilliam’s other movies like Brazil, The Fisher King, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, 12 Monkeys, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or The Adventures of Baron Munchausen should see this one too!
WTWesley TeichmillerAbsolutely loved it! Reminiscent of Brazil, Baron Munchausen, and Time Bandits. A magical experience. Adam Driver and Jonathan Pryce gave amazing performances.
RRRiane RidgeI have been following the making of this movie, and previous attempts and iterations, for 18 out of the 25 year journey and was so excited to see it. I was not disappointed! Adam Driver was perfection alongside Jonathan Pryce who was just divine. Gilliam truly got his…

Canceled! Projector bulb blew up
SCScott CrawfordAfter 30 minutes, I wanted to RUN. Can't stand Adam Driver
JBJoreen BelocuraTHE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE is by no means a perfect film, especially with an ending that almost valorizes self-delusion. However, the comic vitality of Adam Driver and Jonathan Pryce, whose remarkable partnership is perfectly calibrated for maximum energy levels and…
