- Sarah is "meh" onThe Killing of a Sacred Deer
I love disturbing movies or thrillers, movies that make you think etc but this wasn’t that great. I didn’t dislike it, but it just dragged on and wasn’t all that interesting
Mary likedThe Killing of a Sacred Deerpretty good, very messed up and the explanation of the movie made it so much better and make a lot more sense
Claire likedThe Killing of a Sacred DeerThe biggest “wtf” in a movie ever
- Damien likedThe Killing of a Sacred Deer
It’s not as disturbing as some people think. I know the director had a vision. I feel like if they weren’t directed to be so wooden and matter of fact and were more emotional it would have made me feel more. Made me empathize with them. Didn’t care enough about any of them
Ethan Edwards dislikedThe Killing of a Sacred DeerThis is one of those movies that is technically good but you just don’t like it. I didn’t enjoy this movie. Maybe this movie did that on purpose but I didn’t like that I sat down and watched this movie.
Sugama likedThe Killing of a Sacred DeerArtsy, perverted, & creepy, weird accents & dialogue, and most importantly good ol’ Grecian revenge. Not the most exciting film but it keeps your attention with the anticipation of what horror might occur to the family next. The strange characters gave horny lynch-Anderson vibes.

The Master-Rater dislikedThe Killing of a Sacred Deer0.1/10 this movie sucked. There’s “psychological thrillers” there’s whatever this movie is. I imagine the director of this movie saying to themselves “wow I really did something here” but they didn’t, it was just a strange. All over the place plot and none of it made sense
Victor is "meh" onThe Killing of a Sacred Deerthink people hyped up this movie in such a weird way and then watching it was so underwhelming
brielle is "meh" onThe Killing of a Sacred Deeri really was not moved in any way by this movie. i looked up the meaning of it because i thought maybe i was missing something, but, no i wasn't. i just don't like it that much. i can appreciate some aspects, like the music, but it's not great to me overall. it's not terrible tho

Farrell delivers his lines with the same replicant monotone he used in The Lobster. And Kidman, the only cast member who expresses recognizably human emotions, extends her recent hot streak. But even she’s not enough to give this head-scratcher any real life.

In his most bracing and maddening morality tale yet, Lanthimos doesn’t so much paint himself into a corner as he runs into it, headlong, dragging us with him all the way.

“Sacred Deer” feels like a dark, opaque bit of folklore transplanted into an off-kilter modern setting.
