as a bit of a film buff, i think there's a way to view this movie as a commentary on current-day america. i'm not sure the average moviegoer will catch it - it's very subtle - but i believe that a close reading reveals that it's there

We’ve reached the logical conclusion, America finally destroys itself. “Does this translate, pendejo?” is my new favorite movie one-liner.

The movies never made it really political before and now I feel like politics are getting involved. No matter what side or what you believe I think we go to the movies to get away from everything! Can we just watch a movie without politics.

Sorry but I go to the movies to get away from all the politics, the ‘me too’, ‘social injustice’ and hundreds of other things that are shoved down my throat everyday. This movie continually pushes these things throughout the movie. I will say it is action packed but it…

Needs to be pulled from theaters! Hits too close to home for all the hatred in America right now, can foresee some idiot interpreting that as an invite for a racist uproar

Typical left coast race baiting political propaganda barely disguised as a horror flick. The only scary part is that some people will actually believe this garbage.

The Forever Purge jumps through a variety of styles and subgenres as it proceeds; some extended sequences will remind you of a Mad Max flick. The hodgepodge is weirdly appropriate.

In every “Purge,” it’s always darkest before the dawn. But with The Forever Purge, we have to consider what we do after the sun comes up and the goons among us haven’t stopped, and haven’t been brought to justice.

The violence, while pervasive, does not feel gratuitous. Each kill is quick and to the point, and the camera never lingers too long on the flesh-torn wreckage.
