This movie contains my favorite scene of any movie. If you’ve seen it, it’s the one between Parry and Lydia on the sidewalk. Over the last few years I’ve revisited that scene over and over, I’ve probably watched it 50 times if not more. It incapsulates a love I have for…
Joel HaverAug 14, 2014Robin Williams has touched and inspired the lives of many people with his work throughout the ages. Cinema just lost one of its legends, but his legacy will live for eternity! The usual fantastical and supernatural elements that are trademarks from Terry Gilliam are…
Bruno YounJun 15, 2020I want this entire movie wrapped around me like a blanket. With the terror to keep me moving, the fantasy to keep me dreaming and the romance to keep me alive. One of those movies I’ll revisit forever, just to keep its world alive in my brain.

Start to finish unbelievable magic. Each time I watch it I am more enthralled. At this point there’s not a single moment I’d change. Multiple scenes in this film are so full to the brim with love that it’s a surprise they don’t explode. The mere thought of them can make my…
Joel HaverFeb 13, 2025What a well acted and funny movie! You can really tell it’s Terry Gilliam that have made it to. He’s such an underrated filmmaker. Terry Gilliam ranked Best supporting actress winners ranked Best actor nominees ranked
XfaxeJan 13, 2021The greatest Robin Williams performances mix the madness of his characters not just with genius, but also a walloping portion of kindness. “The Fisher King” is one of these performances. It may actually be among the best Williams ever gave. Williams and director Terry…

I wanted more Mercedes Ruehl going tiger style in tiger print pants, and less of her taking Jack back when he doesn’t deserve it. I wanted more of Jack as a shock jock, and less of him as a manipulative schmuck. I wanted more of Robin Williams story-telling in Central…
DallasFranceJan 27, 2021i love how terry gilliam got tipsy one night and has been trying to recreate that feeling ever since.
matthewcutchenAug 20, 2025I’m hearing horses now. Parry would be so pleased A beautiful and complicated fairytale of a film, The Fisher King is about two struggling NYC strangers who have been broken by the same event, as one asks the other for help finding the holy grail. I just love this movie.…

There just are not enough movies like this. Great story. Wonderful characters. Totally off the wall but hugely entertaining. A wonderful layered story that deals with trauma, loss, dreams and love in a special way. One of those films that make you think differently about life.
This movie was all over the place and the more it went on the more I loved it and it’s just really well made but also kinda confusing and weird idk I just really enjoyed watching it it and the ending was very heartwarming

Jeff Bridges and Robin Williams display their impeccable range in this severely underrated Terry Gilliam film. Heartbreaking, heartwarming and incredibly charming.
Given I love both leads and Gilliam has directed a couple of my favorites ever (Brazil and MP’s Holy Grail) I wanted to like this more than I did.
