Believable; dystopian; poignant; satisfying; tense; tight; well-acted; well-cast; well-paced; wet.
joshrowleyDec 8, 2023Are disaster movies about climate change getting more realistic, or is the real world simply starting to resemble a disaster movie about climate change? To judge by Mahalia Belo’s “The End We Start From,” a despairing and all-too-conceivable thriller in which an unnamed…

I'm in tears with the number of topics this movie is infused with. From love and life to heartbreak and responsibility. The journey of a young couple and newborn through disaster and devastation. My heart goes out to every single person and family seeking refuge, seeking a new home. The hardships…
Quite a depressing and stressful film, but it really pulls on your heart strings and, for once, is actually a really real and believable portrayal of a disaster scenario. Recommend you see it once, but I wouldn't go through that stress again.

6/10 only watched it for Jodie if I’m being honest. Sad to say but it’s a forgettable movie, not one scene stuck with me even though the storyline is such a important topic. I know that grief is personal, but why didn’t they enhanced his grief more by giving him more screentime?
It was a good watch! Relates heavily about it how selfish and selfless people can be when disaster strikes! Shows a new parent’s perspective as she navigates her way for survival.

The film making was amazing and it really makes me want to continue with photography well in Highschool. I loved how the scenes were filmed. The story line was a bit off.
Life and love meet fear and death. This movie is an incredible journey and you almost feel like you are accompanying the main character. And the ending!!? Wow! 10/10

Thought provoking story about the strength and determination of what another will do for her child & family. Slow moving at times, but overall great storyline, great cinematography, & great ending.
KTKen TranGreat happy ending. I was able to connect with the characters and feel their emotions. Well acted by the actors to show the hardship and loneliness.
JCJuan CarrilloReminds me of Barack’s Netflix movie. Not bad, but can be slow for some. Not deep but does have substance

Moves one out of their comfort zone. While dealing with the horrors of an environmental crisis, the viewer experiences the beautiful cinematography.
