    The Conjuring

    The Conjuring goes back to basics and manages to make something much more effective out of its formulaic story. The use of tension, atmosphere and suggestion prove that the scariest thing to audience has nothing to do with what you see, but what you don’t.

    My rating mostly reflects my personal preference, the obvious propaganda, and the weak ending. Otherwise, I can see exactly why this film is considered a phenomenon among horror fans. The directing is exceptional, as is the tension-packed and unpredictable handheld camerawork. It's frightening…
