murphySep 25, 2021My screen debut! Just kidding, sort of, I was an extra in this and it’s the first time I’ve ever seen myself on screen and it was weird and .000000000002 seconds but I’m going to choose to celebrate it. What a scary, enthralling, perfect movie.

Was really great, I watched it a few months ago and I don't understand why I didn't watch it sooner, great thriller, great acting especially for young actors, Ethan Hawke was great. This is one of the movies where the book isn't as great as the movie the book has less details

3.3 - I don’t get it, v disappointed. I generally scare easily, but this didn’t do a thing to me. Sure, napping up kids and killing them in a basement is on the line, but I just watched a kid talk to himself in a basement for an hour. Just to boring, so much filler for a movie.

There was a bit of psychological horror because of the anticipation and a keen feeling after unveiling all of the puzzles that then lead to the final scene.

There are stretches in this movie, which I saw in a crowded preview last night, where you literally could hear a pin drop. The silence on the soundtrack is breathless, the held breaths of the audience deafening.
