The world needs more supernatural noirs that are also repulsive body horror comedies.

if this was made today it would cost $165 million, be released straight to netflix, and would likely be the worst film to ever exist

The Becomers may not have the largest budget, but it has the largest heart.

A sort of shaggy dog story whose appeal wanes as one gradually realizes itโ€™s unlikely to go anywhere in particular, The Becomers is equally mild as sci-fi, spoof and sociopolitical satire. Itโ€™s off-kilter enough to catch oneโ€™s attention, but in the end too underdeveloped to strongly reward it.

It definitely wonโ€™t be everyoneโ€™s cup of tea, but those who get on its frequency should have a whale of a time.
