I really relate to shirley maclaine looking jack nicholson in the eyes and saying “there’s something wrong with you.”

I’m working my way through the last couple Best Picture Oscar winners I’ve never seen, and for the most part the assignment has been the opposite of saving the best for last. Terms of Endearment is a welcome exception; this is a beautiful, funny, heartbreaking movie. It’s…

Cheating is an unforgivable wrong. This movie treats it like it's a silly mistake. Cheating just because you know you're partner is cheating doesn't make you any better of a person than them. Only characters I feel sorry for are the kids and Danny DeVito.

Best Picture Oscar winner 1984 (56th Academy Awards) My Rating: 10/10 Nominated for 11 Oscar’s and won 5. One of my favorite films of all time. EVERY actor in this is great. It’s a perfect movie.
A beautiful and emotional film about a mother and daughter relationship. Great performances and a great script. I teared up watching this and truly think this deserved best picture of 1983.

This one PULLLED on my heartstrings, but it kept me wanting more because I loved every single character! This was smartly scripted and acted, and Shirley MacLaine was perfect.
Very beautiful and heartbreaking film that expertly balances comedy and drama. The characters in this film all feel like real people, in the real and unforgiving world. 8/10
