I will say the only reason I watched this is because of Nicolas Cage, but I did enjoy this movie. Joel Kinnaman was great in this as well. Just shows you don’t need 100s of actors to make a movie likable

It seems there wasn’t a high budget for the film but the confusing storyline was gripping enough to overlook any lagging areas. Pacing was a bit slow but overall happy I gave this a watch

A nice test in unreliable narrator, put into a 90ish min dialogue heavy thriller with plenty of Cage outbursts. It could have used more of the marketed cat & mouse elements to it tho.

It's mean, gritty, and brutally nihilist, its mystery unwrapping before it strangles you with its perfect meanness. If noir is about, as the old saying goes, bad people doing bad things for good reasons, then Sympathy for the Devil bleeds in all the right ways.
