neorappJul 7, 2025so nice for a superhero movie villain to actually be evil and not just “bad guy because the movie says he is bad”... like if I ever see you on the streets Lex Luthor it is ON SIGHT because of what you did to my best friend (Mali the falafel vendor 😪☝️)

coopJul 7, 2025It doesn’t get more Superman than this. Cut from the same cloth as Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man in the purest, most sincere and hopeful way. Genuine delight to my eyes I’m smiling ear to ear typing this. In love with the lived in superhero world and with the way Gunn teases the…

I got teary eyed multiple times. For 2 reasons. 1: Getting to see the symbol of hope that is superman. I personally have never been a superman girl but this movie made me fall in love. What he stands for and the optimism he brings to the lives of the characters and viewers (2)
Kinda shocked, i expected to enjoy this movie very much, it lived up to expectations. Everything about it was quite well done, especially the casting. The way it was made looked like it didn't take itslef too seriously while still giving a good and moving story, it was just good

Possibly the most overrated super hero movie ever. Music - Obnoxiously repetitive. Writing - Horribly cliche. Scenes - Slapped together with no cohesion. Costumes - Without any effort whatsoever. Emotional Impact - Zero investment. Only good thing was theming. Free Palestine.
The studio heads at Marvel need to study this film, and since I'm very aware of James Gunn's filmography, I know most of it stems from him. Sure, it's not a perfect film, but comparing this to the multiple projects we've had from both Marvel and especially DC, this and "The Batman" clear almost the…

If you are looking for a film that doesn’t take itself seriously and is kinda fun and ridiculous this is probably a good film for you. The writing isn’t that good and Superman himself is beaten up on and whines constantly through the film. Not a great portrayal of the character.
Weak, “I want a lame Superman with crappy costume, that gets beaten up by everything except kryptonite”. Such a bad movie, I want comic book accurate. Wouldn’t ever watch again and wouldn’t suggest anybody else to. Go watch man of steel bc it’s way way better

so dang good. this movie really captures what it means to be superman
Just way would they make him out to be so weak after all the prestigious history of Superman. They said he saved a country in this movie but never even showed it. Instead, they show him saving a squirrel. they also showed him getting beat up more than anything and where in history has Superman ever had a pet his parents had one but wasn't a super dogg. This movie failed to hold up the honor of superman i left that movie not feeling like I can take on the world but like I was lied to feeling nothing but regret..

It’s nicely packed and quite funny, when it isn’t giving into Gunn’s trademark air of merry depravity.
By the movie’s merciful end, you wonder what a nice guy like Superman is doing in a mean place like this.
There’s promise here. A broader cinematic universe that feels cohesive, filled with amusing cameos and, for the first time in years, a DCU that feels like it has a faint pulse are all very welcome. But whenever the film strains to address Big Ideas, it’s painful.
