Moviegoers are saying
This campy comedy divides audiences with its unapologetically over-the-top humor and LGBTQ+ themes, with viewers either embracing its 'so stupid it works' charm or finding it too far outside their comfort zone. The drag queen cast consistently earns praise even from disappointed viewers, delivering what many describe as 'Airplane!'-style absurdist comedy that works best as a group viewing experience.

The gen AI in this looks ugly. I know the people behind the film first denied it, then said they did and now they say they didn’t. So at this point, I don’t even know how to feel. I think it’s pretty clear that they used it but I know y’all like to fight and I’m not in the…
hugeasmammothJun 11, 2026i hope that in the next movie, rupaul will Stop! That! Fracking! (also starring jujubee.)
jeabaJun 3, 2026it’s all just so horribly acted that when RuPaul is on screen (which is shockingly few times) it’s honestly like watching Katharine Hepburn

hilarious, had my packed theater dying the entire time. so many quotable lines & cameos that you wish lasted longer. the sarah michelle gellar running joke was my favorite part, wish raven simone had more screen time. seeing Ru Paul as president is a dream come true !
holly lovedStop! That! Train!the girls next to me were laughing so hard. 10/10 experience even with being forced to sit in the front row.
Hal Jester lovedStop! That! Train!so fun, sit down and laughed and forgot the world around me, which in these days is so important

F*Ck AI!!!! Generative Ai was used throughout the film!!!
Kyle Beaman lovedStop! That! Train!Hilarious campy absurdism drag race meets airplane movie, fun running bits, great cameos, short and sweet. Love it! Jujubee, Latrice, and Symone stole the show and Ginger/Matt feel short for me, but overall enjoyed the silliness (and the several drag race references)
Chris Bennett lovedStop! That! Train! There needs to be a category above love. 10 minute standing ovation at the local AMC. Such an incredibly stupid and hilarious movie that had me smiling and busting out laughing the entire time. This is the kind of frivolous joy the world needs right now
- julian is "meh" onStop! That! Train!
Extremely disappointed the use of genAI and the evasive statements by the director about it. Still a fun watch, some good bits but plenty of missed opportunities. Played things safe for reasons I understand but had room for a lot more edge.
Korbin Galloway likedStop! That! Train! This movie is incredibly stupid. In a funny way that makes you roll your eyes and cringe that it made you laugh. but yeah. its an incredibly dumb movie. reminds me of the same kinda dumb comedy from Naked Gun or Angie Tribeca.
Augden is "meh" onStop! That! Train!Oscillates between really well made comedy and the worst, most dated movie you’ve ever seen. Very odd. RuPaul has always been an Academy Award level actor so it’s no surprise she’s the best of the film.

KKKimber KelleyThis is one train I wish never left the station. I expected comedy but it just wasn’t right for me. Too many sexual jokes and innuendo. The casts were great but just too far in left field for me.

We expected it to be stupid but it was extremely stupid. Also clearly directed at gay demographic. There were only about 4 straight people in the theater. That's not a bad thing, just something to be aware of when planning to attend. We missed a lot of humor because we…

While one can appreciate the attempt to drag drag out of the culture war headlines and remind us of the overly-made-up, vulgar fun of it all, Stop! That! Train! just doesn’t play.

Stop! That! Train! is shooting for camp, a style that thrives on an overflowing cup, but as a viewer, our perspective leaves us seeing things as half empty.

Whatever the secret ingredient is, the result is a movie that is non-stop hilarious and unapologetically goofy. It may not be deep, it may not be compelling, but it is silly enough to be great.
