Synopsis
It's a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him -- and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him -- sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.

- Zendaya
- Sadie Sink

Moviegoers are saying
Audiences are overwhelmingly smitten with this film, with many calling it "absolute cinema" and some ranking it the best Spider-Man movie yet. Fans love Tom Holland's grief-stricken Peter, the Hulk door moment, and the Zendaya and Sadie Sink storylines, though a minority find the action predictable and the mutant and ninja detours out of place.

justinwuahJul 28, 2026i understand peter parker on a deeper level because i, too, carry the emotional weight of zendaya not knowing i exist every single day (sadie sink would help)

- MK lovedSpider-Man: Brand New Day
LOVE IT. Absolutely lived up to the hype. Emotional, packed with amazing moments, and the energy is completely insane. Sadie Sink and The Punisher were huge highlights and made the movie even better 🔥🕷️
alfie lovedSpider-Man: Brand New Daythis is the first marvel film where i actually felt it took place in the extended universe, having yelena; punisher; hulk and jean grey made me feel like i was in a comic story and especially with how beautiful new york looked and also the swinging was probably the best weve had
Lady Rokujo lovedSpider-Man: Brand New Dayi haven’t seen any marvel movies since like guardians of the galaxy but i was forced to go see this for my nephew’s first movie in theaters and he slept through the majority of it LMAO but maybe i’ll actually watch the other ones now and get caught up idk 🤷🏻♀️
- amyy likedSpider-Man: Brand New Day
peter was such a hotty in this 10/10
Kareem likedSpider-Man: Brand New DayDefinitely expected way more than this. Especially after all the hype Marvel created. I was hoping for more development of the universe as a whole and for more characters to be mentioned. The writing feels scattered and unfocused. Weakest one so far and doesn't stand a chance -
Tommy Matossian is "meh" onSpider-Man: Brand New Day6.8/10 This is the product you have to put out when you write yourself into a hole. Without spoiling anything there’s 2 problems or story lines Spider-Man has to solve in this film. 1 of the story lines is actually horrendous. Lot of flash. Pretty close to zero substance

BEN lovedSpider-Man: Brand New DayI loved how much it felt like we were swinging with Spider-Man. The detail in the sounds and movements of the camera were incredible.
Austin Kelley lovedSpider-Man: Brand New DaySpider-Man? Depressed. Hulk? Angry. Punisher? Has something to tell you. 8.9/10

TNTalaric NevelsNot a bad movie, but it wasn’t that great either. Most of the action scenes were already shown in the trailers, so there weren’t many surprises. The soundtrack was weak, and the story felt like something we’ve already seen multiple times, just told in a different way. I…

Ultimately, this feels more like a placeholder than a fully realized motion picture.

This movie still shows there's plenty of life to the franchise when it comes to street-level stories.

There are certainly good times to be had in Brand New Day. Jon Bernthal offers gruff entertainment as his version of Bronsonian vigilante The Punisher. Holland’s sweet charm generates real poignancy as Peter negotiates a world that knows him only in his super-powered incarnation.
